Nature Park Tours

The river Peene stretches 85 km from Lake Kummerow to the island of Usedom. Since 2011 20,000 hectares of protected river landscape make up Mecklenburg Vorpommern's youngest Nature Park. The Peene valley is well known for its large populations of ospreys and beavers. Furthermore, some of the local moor's flora and fauna are today only still found here in the whole of Germany, for example dactylorhiza curvifolia or the large copper.

A selection of Nature Park rangers and nature guides with all their knowledge are at your disposal for excursions and discovery tours. They adapt the tours to the specific wishes of their guest. Whether on an evening Peene safari, a discovery tour to the Viking burial grounds in Menzlin, a coffee-liqueur tour or a walk through the moor, they offer you the chance to get to know this insider nature tip - the Peene valley. By the way: we won the European prize for sustainable aquatic tourism in 2010 for our close to nature offers.
